One of my favorite galleries in London is Tate Modern. Memories flood back of visiting as a girl with my mum, and what a special trip it would be (usually including chocolate cake of some sort!)
With London now as my home, it's easy to rush by and forget the joys the beautiful city has to offer. So off I went, on a trip to Tate Modern.
As always, I love to visit Rothko. I have had a life long love affair with his work and couldn't possibly neglect to visit. Sitting in the quiet facing the immense wall of saturated colour getting lost in it's depths is like a mini vacation.
Working my way around the second floor, I realise how my visual inspiration and tastes have changed as I have developed as an artist. Finding inspiration in work I had overlooked before.
