Working with Nicolina Dante made for one fantastic day. We spend a great deal of time working through movements and exploring shapes and how they looked with a single light source.
As a photographer, I like to work with simple lighting, one source or natural light with a few reflectors. I love the simplicity of it and the intensity it can give in an image. Working with such an expressive performer was great fun. Full of energy and ideas she really does express her cheeky inner self through her posture and movement. It was fantastic to have the opportunity to capture it on film ... well, camera!
