Bucklesbury Red
Curated Colour : Red
Bucklesbury are known for their bright and vibrant range of colours that span across an exquisite range of journals, umbrellas, and bags. ‘Curated Colour’ is a transition between these hues, designed to flow seamlessly through the brands social and website feeds. The intention, to immerse the viewer in the intense colours Bucklesbury have to offer and, following the seasons and trends, guide them through a beautifully curated, colour and luxury filled year of ‘Undeniably, Beautifully, Bucklesbury.
As a part of the curated colour flow through the vibrant range of umbrellas and bags, we focused our attention on the transition from the autumnal orange and yellows to a beautiful fiery, festive Red. This colour spoke of its strong and fierce presence in connection with the lens, and the way it could contrast with its surroundings and join in the foray of autumnal colours London had to offer.
To allow space for the strong connotations of English heritage and foundations that run through the brand, we turned to the signature look and feel of the lime stone of Victorian Britain. Accessing the flexibility of a animal crew on location, with candid shots of the falling leaves and bright colours of Pall Mall and Buckingham Parade, we could really utilise the angels, lines and vanishing points to complement the beautiful, majestic curve of the umbrella.
Continuing our journey through the curated colours of the year, we paired the red umbrella up with the a bright red jacket to draw the viewer into the saturation and bold fearlessness of the Red Umbrella.
Working with the utterly divine Maeva Denat, who fully embraced the energy and character we were working towards, her smile and feminine strength easily carry the boldness of the colour and add in a delicate playfulness to the conversation, throughout the body of work.
