UPFIELD | Dunn’s Bakery
GreenPark, Upfield and Dunn’s Bakery created some fantastic content for their brand, looking at the process, the quality and ethical sourcing of their produce and the creative decision making at the heart of the their establishment.
We used the entire day, spending time interviewing, photographing and filming their talented team (inspirational!) and the team in their flag shop London bakery. Following the creative process behind each dish and menu as well as the importance of the customer experience.
I was asked to come to take Behind the Scenes Stills and unit stills from the Upfield shoot at Dunn’s Bakery - One of London’s home owned and home grown bakery’s steeped in family tradition.
Dunns Bakery in Crouch End is run by sixth Generation Baker Lewis Freeman, who has been at the helm of this local institution after taking the reins from his father Christopher when he retired. Founded in 1820 by Robert Freeman, who came down from Brackley, Northamptonshire on a hay wagon and started work as a baker in South Grove, Highgate.
In 1827 Robert started the first family owned business on Highgate Hill. The Freeman family carried on baking, running a few different small bakeries, one in New Zealand and one in Enfield until in 1946 Robert's great grandson David Freeman acquired Dunns Bakery and 200 years later here we are, intent on keeping his family traditions alive!
