Master of Jewels

The briefing for these images was to provide Master of Jewels with images that made their brand stand out. Images that made them different and separate them from the other jewellery of Indian bespoke jewellery.

Researching many of the competition, I looked at creating something more fierce and confrontational to the viewer. using black rather than white to deepen the sense of luxury and tighten the colours and vibrancy of the jewels, we used a more natural make up style and strong confrontational poses for the models.

Looking directly into the camera the models challenge the idea that beauty in Indian culture is passive and demure, but it can be strong and delicate, fierce and homely at the same time.
