Let’s get up, now we’re charged up, step up and start levelling up!
There is so much going on this (school) year, with the easing out of lockdown and our new found ‘freedom’, a whole new rowing season ahead (where we may even be able to race! ) , a career shift for a certain, (very special) someone in my life and I have a whole new list of goals to achieve!
Starting something new to you is so much fun, daunting, but exciting and full of life. Be it taking on a new project, learning a new skill, a new level for your career or business or a new challenge.

As my Nan always used to say, ‘Melli, when you’re starting something new, don’t worry, the first step is always the hardest, so just get on with it and the rest will follow.’
Being a master procrastinator, it’s a phrase I often hear echoed in her memory – I think she spotted this trait in me early on!
While it may take a push to get started (thanks Nan), I love new challenges and new starts. The idea of something exciting and bold just around the corner, having the opportunity to grow and develop as a person.
Having spent August recovering and taking the involuntary time needed to heal, it’s given me a fantastic opportunity to set out my next goals and focus on areas of development for my mind, health and my business.
You guessed it, I’m excited! I feel like we are finally shaking off the trauma of the pandemic and learning to live and move forward again. Granted, burn out is more present in all levels of life than I have ever seen it before… so it’s time for some change and to get excited about learning, growing and getting on with it, to do something for us.
My main goal this month, is to make time for more of the things that are an integral part of my life. The people I love, the commitments I make, my own health and fitness, my business, and the wonderful clients I invest in.
In making it a priority, I am having to find ways to be more efficient, to find better work flows and prioritise with intention rather than just firefighting my way through the year. By taking a significant and intentional shift in how I plan my working week, I’m planning to adapt for when my work life tkes over and still be able to prioritise the elements of my life that keep me sane and make me smile every day.
After the last 18 months, we all know how important our genuine happiness is!!
So what exciting things are in store for your September, what is the next new thing to get started in order to make your dreams come true!
