When you find people that inspire you to create, you know you have met a fellow member of ‘your tribe’

In so many ways, jan has inspired me through my personal journey as an artist, she is my muse and so much more.

As a school friend of my sisters, we have watched each other grow and develop as artists in our own right and supported the journey along the way. A pair of chemists sharing a row, they shared a passion that would flow on their own path and from the early days, watching it blossom, was an inspiration for me. To reconnect as Jan Erika started finding a new depth to her creative voice, was in itself a beautiful part of our journey together.

Both leaning into a new part of our creativity, we ventured on a personal branding photo shoot that we could use to lift eachtoerh up and elevate our voice through our platforms and wow, what a voice we found.

Jan Erika’s art is breathtaking, unique and as original as she is. It comes from the heart big enough and strong enough to love everyone, and everything that is graced with its presence. It communicates a rhythm and passion for life that is absorbing and intoxicating in its beauty.

‘This dance between rhythm and pattern, colour and expression, sound and paint, form the basis of her art. Whether forty-foot murals or delicate glassware decoration Jan paints with a productive synaesthesia that somehow expresses sound visually.’
