New Season - New Start

My ‘year’ still operates around the academic year, so while everyone does dry January and cements their new year resolutions, I find it’s the heart of September that my zest for new beginnings can be found.

HERE WE ALL ARE

A new season. A new school year. A new King! A brand spanking new opportunity to succeed!

So to round off the first month of ‘the season’ and hold onto the summer, the new energy and the refreshed selves we brought into September - let’s talk about all things new and shine!

So what’s new?

… Aside from Charles becoming King - a fairly chunky change as we look forward to the year ahead.

Well, as you may or may not have heard, my out of work life is pretty much dedicated to sport. It’s the start of a new season, with lots of change saying a very teary, but supportive farewell to our fantastic head coach LCG. Making way for us to welcome in a new era of rowing at Vesta with Mr Loveday as Head Coach.

So as with any change, adapting, settling, and setting goals for the season ahead!

Having taken some much needed time off from life in London, having a glorious three weeks with my beau in tuscany - exploring art, culture, food, a bit more food and reconnecting with ourselves again has made a significant shift in my priorities.

Shaking off the grief, guilt, dispair, struggles and emotions of the last 8 months and emotionally shedding my cocoon to emerge as a better me, with a brighter idea of what I want to be allowing into my world and life.

In line with everyone else’s New Years Resolutions, that includes quality of food, alcohol (or lack there of) sugars, energy as well as taking a good look at who’s energy I am prioritising in my life, making sure I am allowing the good, bright loving kindness flow all around me and my loved ones.

We have a couple of new life goals and a couple of new work goals in place that are more inline with who I am, and less fussed about the ‘they’ out thee and what they might believe me being a ‘success’ would look like.

Caring more about my perspective on my life and life choices, more than anyone else’s.

That sounds NUTS when I say it out loud!

… but there we go!

Being Bolder! Braver! and finding out where that leads me.

With all the love I have, I’ll allow those in the shadows to call me sassy, bossy, obstinate, greedy, selfish, indelicate, uncouth, without class … Names I have been called all my life, and well… TBH! It’s grown old!

There is little I can do about how they feel - lord knows have tried!

As Jeremy would say, ‘sounds like they have more of an issue with your living your life than you do!’

So let’s have at it!

Lets kick off the new season with an energy like no other, a mind set and commitment that will carry us through he dark months and onward into the following spring.

A little goal setting, a dash of perspective, a few back up plans for when things go sideways and a couple of rewards to keep things moving in the right direction.

I have some BRAND NEW WORK that will be surfacing, which went ‘swimmingly’ well (I play a long winded pun game) - some of which I am so excited to share with you, and will hopefully lead to more epic adventures of a similar variety.

Some new ideas that I cant wait to share with you, giving a little more inside into this crazy dual life photo/production world I live in.

And on top of that, with everything crossed, some projects that sing to my soul, that light up the world and make the word a little better for a brighter tomorrow.

Can you tell i’m excited? I cant wait to share it all with you!
