Happy Easter

It’s a bit of a different Easter for us this year! With the change that COVID has brought, I have swapped rowing camp for the comfort of my sitting room floor and adapted in the best way I know how … creating things.

I often feel so blessed that I get to channel a lot of my worry and unrest through creating, making, recording things so, on this beautiful home-bound Easter Bank Holiday, I have set myself the task of learning some new skills so I can create something to share with you.

I am 100% going to prompt you so that you have a chance at recognising what these little creations are.

Having been in love with Japan and Japanese culture for as long as I can remember, I particularly enjoy the way they create beauty out of simple things. The clean lines, flow of movement and ritual behind their art is inspiring and something I long to achieve.

Here we have my attempt at creating some origami Easter inspired animals for you:

Why don’t you give it a go and make an origami animal - The best site I found is HERE

Origami Easter Bunnies

Origami Mother Hen

Or if you want to give the kids something to do, here is a step by step way to make an origami balloon - they are super fun and a good way to keep the kids (40yr old grown-up kids included) and you can fill them up with water as water balloons if you have an outside space.
